6-acre natural habitat reclamation
This community park represents an ongoing natural habitat restoration effort re-establishing native and pollinator supportive habitat. Adjacent to Indian Creek, the park features a council ring seating arena for observation, activities and the pleasure and education of the public as this former commercial site continues the evolve into a welcoming green space. As with other Prairie Lands Foundation natural habitats, Munz Park’s proximity offers unique opportunity for students and the public to participate in citizen science study and initiatives from a local to national level.
